The fall is located in San Lorenzo Albarradas, 70 km east of Oaxaca City, past Milta. Heireve el Agua (Spanish for “the water boils”) is one of the two calcified water falls in the world. The other is in Pamukkale, Turkey. The is due to the accumulation of minerals deposited by spring water that has followed down the rocks over thousands of years.

その滝はオアハカから西へ70km先、ミルタの向こうサンタマリアデルトゥーレにある。Heireve el Aguaはスペイン語で沸騰したお湯を意味し、世界で2つある石灰化した滝の一つ。もう一つはトルコのパムッカレ。数千年に渡り岩石を流れたきた鉱物を含む湧き水が石灰化してできた。
